My name is Tali Soroker, and I am a recent graduate from Northeastern University in Boston. During my time there, I received my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and had the opportunity to gain experiential knowledge through the university’s global internship program. Beyond the field of theoretical mathematics, I am interested in behavioral economics, religion, travel, art, and languages.
If you take the sum of my interests you will find that I am most interested in how people interact with each other. Numbers, art, and speech are all tools of communication and I’m fascinated in the ways they are employed by people in our societies and for what purpose.
This blog was originally created as an assignment for one of my undergraduate courses, Digital Storytelling and Social Media, and allowed me to explore the ways in which journalists present data to their readers as a news story and, in turn, the ways in which readers absorb and understand the information presented to them.
